A Social Impact Assessment
The objective was to assess the beneficial and adverse impacts of the proposed elevated highway on residents, entrepreneurs and others. Primary data collection was based on interviews of 92 residents on either side of the road, and a selected sample of formal and informal sector businessmen in micro, small, medium sized and large scale enterprises; transporters of goods, occupants and drivers of vans and cars.
